The Sullivan Center for Children is approved by American Psychological Association to offer continuing education for Psychologists. In addition, we are currently approved by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences to provide CE courses to Marriage Family Therapists and Licensed Clinical Social Workers.

In coordination with local area CE providers, we strive to provide ongoing training opportunities to assure that Central Valley clinicians have ample courses to meet licensure requirements. It is our goal to develop advanced clinical training opportunities. We strive to be able to cover a wide spectrum of pertinent topics and encourage formats that are interesting, creative, and practical. AP A guidelines allow us the flexibility to approve programs in a variety of formats such as classes, seminars, lectures, or workshops. We also have the flexibility to sponsor large and small events, and to structure various time frames, i.e., day long trainings or classes that meet over several weeks.

In addition to featuring speakers from outside the area, it is our goal to tap into the considerable knowledge of professionals within this community. We have developed a local faculty, and are searching for experienced clinicians who would like to teach. If qualified to teach at a post-licensure level, professionals are encouraged to submit a vita along with a letter of interest, and specific areas of expertise regarding a course, class, or lecture that you would like to offer. The Sullivan Center's CE Committee will review submissions for possible inclusion in future programming. We want to not only provide educational opportunities for those who attend, but to create meaningful teaching opportunities for local clinicians.
